A federal judge in Arizona temporarily blocked state enforcement against Kalshi's event contracts until April 24. Judge Michael Liburdi granted a request from the CFTC and the federal government and said the agency is likely to succeed in arguing the contracts are swaps under the Commodity Exchange Act. The order bars Arizona officials from starting or continuing civil or criminal action tied to Kalshi contracts on CFTC-regulated markets. The court will decide whether to issue a longer-term preliminary injunction.

Worldcoin will cut the daily WLD unlock rate by 43% on July 24, reducing total daily emissions from about 5.1 million tokens to 2.9 million. The World Community allocation will be cut in half, while Tools for Humanity investor and team unlocks will decline 32%.

Bank of America said the global economy now needs only one-third as much oil to produce the same GDP as in the 1970s, making it more resilient to oil shocks. Gemini is discussing whether to convert hundreds of millions of dollars of founder loans into equity after its market value fell by more than 50% this year. South Korean authorities are considering allowing confiscation of principal investments in crypto insider trading cases. The measure is being reviewed for inclusion in the Digital Asset Basic Act, which is expected to be announced in the second half of this year.
